An attorney by background, David Burleigh helps families, trustees, beneficiaries, and private business owners untangle their situation and find the best path forward. He has dedicated his professional life to helping multi-generational families— particularly those with a large number of children— create and use better decision-making structures to build better futures. “Large families are wonderful. But having multiple family members and several trusts can make shared ownership complicated. My goal is to help multi-generational families enjoy the clarity and peace that comes from creating organization and structure.”

Shannon Garry Keesee has a robust professional background that includes experience in multi-family offices, retail investment management, financial services business relationship management, and real estate investments. Her exceptional ability to manage multiple projects and understand complex ownership situations allows her to deliver clarity and confidence to our clients. “I understand what it’s like to live in a complex family and manage complicated situations. And together, I know we can come up with a confident plan forward.”

Everyone— from entrepreneurs coping with the consequences of liquidity events to large multi-generational families with highly sophisticated business and investment structures— struggles at some point to operate effectively within their enterprise. As the former president of Ironrock, Inc., and a beneficiary of the hard work of her grandfather (the founder of Fisher Price Toys), Amelia Renkert-Thomas understands what it’s like to be in every role of the family enterprise process. Drawing on her years of experience practicing law, Amelia works to design tailored governance structures, create more effective board structures, form and govern family offices, set up shareholder councils, and make trusts more functional, in order to enable families to thrive.

Mary Walsh brings a wide background in banking, retail office goods, investment management, tax accounting, and professional services operations to the complex project work at the Family Enterprise Office. The careful management and coordination of client data is only the beginning of her role; she also serves as a welcoming and organized first point of communication for all client needs. She places a high premium on clients feeling heard, understood, and like their needs are being anticipated every step of the way—and that critical details are safely managed and off the client's plate. "My goal is to make sure that clients know exactly what is happening, and feel great about every outcome, with personalized high-touch project coordination."
